Reflection-film with animated HDR-IBL

i want to get the best refections out of my hdri.

so need to produce a reflectionfilm with
the mentalray ibl in maya.
when the low-res-rendering is complete i can select
the right angle for my final rendering.
wonderful, easy .....


i tell my mentalray ibl :
turn 360 degrees in 120 frames !

but the ibl refuses to move when
i do the rendering of the film!
in the maya editor - i see the animation -
the ibl turns as it was told.
but when batching the animation it
is fixed on the first position.


what is going on there and who can help ?

To be honest i have never see that problem.
two ways around

1. Animate the HDRI Map.
2. create your own dome with a sphere and animate the sphere.

I will look into it and see what i can find

i just want to tell how we solve the problem in the moment :

we group the whole scene - (with all the lights and cameras)
and do the spin with this group inside the dome.
the ibl remain where it is...unanimated !
this works - but it is not very comfortable ...

I haven't got a solution, but just want to confirm the problem.
For getting the right lightsetting I tried to animate the IBL 360 degrees over 36 frames and render that at lowres...nothing happened.

Have You checked off 'Optimize Animation Detection' flag under Render Settings (mr specific tab)->Translation/Performance?
