L Glass installation problems

Hey Guys,

I am having problems installing the L Glass Shader.

I am using:
Maya Verision 8.5
mental ray: version 3.5.6.7, 22 Nov 2006, revision 19663

I followed the instructions to install the shader but its not showing up anywhere in maya for me.

Has anyone ever used this shade with Maya 8.5?

You have 8.5, try using the mia_material instead?

i loaded the mental ray dlls by force in maya (from the settings) and everything started working :)

thanks ill try mia_material as well :)

The mia_material has built in presets for Frosted Glass, Glass Pane and Thick Glass.
