Hi Guys,

I would really apriciate some help on this.

I need to create a sticker on a mia_material.

I have projected a test graphic to a nurbs plane, which works fine. The graphic has an alpha channel that masks the blue area out and leaves only the red oval showing.

My problem is connecting the alpha to create this effect.

Surely there is a simple way to do this like you can in the maya renderer.

Simply connecting the out alpha to the cutout_opacity does not work.

I have attached the file

Many thanks for any help!

Hi Iddidy,

I had a look at your file. From what I can gather, you have to pass the alpha channel (from the tif) through the projection utility as well as the colour... at the moment, the cutout opacity doesn't know what to make opaque or transparent.

This is just a quick reply; I'll send you a screen grab later if I can get it going.

Cheers!
