Need help with atmosphere and horizon

So these are some of the layers I rendered for depth. What I was doing was setting the sky render blurred, track matted to the depth as a lighten blending mode. However I just feel like the hues are not correct and was wondering if anyone has any good tech's for doing horizons and atmospheres.
