Hi again, might be noob questions for mental ray experts but very confusing point for me,
which is fine for glass look, Dielectric or Glass lume,
most confusing is for me is that if using Dielectric for glass and liquid then has to be 3 materials, Glass, liquid and interactive material where both surface meet, I like the result of Dielectric as far as i have played with it, but if I come to use it in animated water like pouring water in Glass then i would be tough job to do that. what is basic difference in Glass(lume) and
Dielectric and any tip for both of them
sorry if I bothered again with stupid question.
Thanks in advance guys ;)

dielectric is physical correct, glass is not as accurate, as goes for all of the Lume alternatives

thanks for reply, but as I read in tuts.. dielectric need multi materials .. faces that face air need other material settings , and polygons that interacts with other dielectric need different setting. so i guess it is good for single Frame, using it in dynamic liquid or particles won't be so good idea..

You're right, for animation I would use an A&D Material (or lume Glass) for both objects with different setup and IOR for them. It won't be physical accurate as when using dieletric or other interface approach (like the one Zap shows in the A&D Material help), but in an animation it's hard to see the details.
