Different ways to make grass in mental ray using 3ds Max

Hey there, probably this is the most asked question about how to make grass in 3ds max.Well this is the exactly question i'm gonna ask, but it's more about the methode used here http://www.youtube.com/blizzard#p/u/9/c2vm-QjK2xQ.If anyone can tell me, or even give me an advice about how did they make the grass/ground/lights/sky, i will be very thankful.
