Hello Everybody,

This image is a refined version of a project I have been involved in sometime ago. The render came straight from 3Ds Max/Mental Ray, no post work was needed.

Any comments would be welcome.

Regards,

Jamie

As I said in your "Harbour" post, I'm actually working with this very well-done book and I was nicely surprised by the result obtained with a such simple lighting. :)

I'm just a bit disappointed because of some textures, like the bump of the leather material wich is really simple.

Your "Flash" version is amazing too !

Hi there Shimrod,

Thank you very much for your comments.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment over some of the materials; it's just that they were done for the purpose of the tutorials only.

I have also had a chance to look at your work...and it's amazing.

Regards,

Jamie

:o :o

Hope you don't mind about that (and I especially thought to the leather bump). I learned a lot with the entire scene, it was very useful for me. Thanks ! ;)

Hi Jamie

I recently purchased your book, and at the moment i m working on it. I like the fact that u make it very simple to understand for a new mental ray user like me.

Hi there Samuel,

Thanks very much for the kind comments.

I’m really glad to know that you found the book easy and useful.
If there’s anything you need clarifying or dislike about the book, please let me know.
I’m also aware of the fact that it’s quite difficult to please
everybody…so that is why the publishers and Autodesk had decided to make it simple on about 300 pages book.

Thank you very much again for your comments

Jamie
