Hello, I am getting black squares randomly appear in my 7k image using mental ray standalone.
I was told this is an issue with standalone.
Can anyone help me resolve this issue.

found out that you need to use this shader to remove the black spots
Lens shaders
DL3D BlacksportsRemover to remove black squares / spots problem when rendering (especially with final gathering)
You are in this case if when you increase the filter size your black spots' size increases too.
Download : 3DSMax 7, 8 & 9 (win32) - Maya 6.5, 7, 8 & 8.5 (win32) - Maya Linux 64 bit

I'm getting the same problem but since this is a lens shader...does anyone know what do you do when you want to use mia_exposure and the DL3D_BlackSpotsRemover shader at the same time?
Edit: I did a search, just realised this was in the Standalone section of MR. I'm using MR in Maya.

Hi,
Max has a MR called Shader List which I would
expect is available with other MR implimentations
that allows you to stack a number of shaders.
Should prove useful in this situation.

Has anyone experiences if this removeshader helps , please give us feedback, removes this shader only blacksplotches or does it remove black squares and buckets from renderingbuckets too.
