This question has been driving me crazy and I cant find the answer anywhere. I am rendering a still image and I want my ibl image to show up in my background and my reflections, but whenever I batch or command line render to a targa or a tif format and open it in photoshop, all traces of the background have been removed and only that checkerboard "clear" pattern remains. When I do a preview render it shows up fine, but if I try to save that image as a targa or tif, its gone when I open it in photoshop.
please help me.

Thats a function of Photoshop, it is automatically cropping the image based on the alpha channel. If you open the frame in FCheck, you should be able to see it in the background. If you don't need it, try rendering without the alpha channel.
