Anyone know of a good mentalray DoF tutorial for max?

While I am not aware of any specific tutorial for this, the user guide (F1) that comes with max is detailed enough to explain how to do this. Just pop it open and search for Mental Ray Depth of Field.

It is an extremely render intensive process however. If you are serious about it and want to use it for animation, you are better off rendering out a Z-Depth pass and adding the DoF in post. My opinion anyway.

or you can use built-in filter "lens blur" in Photoshop CS2, it gives similar results as rosennman plugin.
