Hello everyone.

When rendering hair & Fur as an MR primitive,( though it has a lot of pros, such as Subjected to GI etc..) the result is really harsh and and alliased.....even with high sampling settings the result remains unrealistic.
Is there a way (probably a shader) to make it look soft (as an MR primitive)????....
And generally...is it better to apply an MR shader or leave it as it is????
From what i know....Mu Hair is not yet compatible with Max 9???

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I cannot answer your questions.
I do want to add another "workflow-"question that is very related though.

Can someone explain when and why the different hair settings (MR prim, geom, etc.) should be used? What are pros and contras of each method?

rgds,

nisus
