hi guys,
i have find a bug and i is not fine.
english: Max-User! Donīt use the Archi&Design presets for the material on your object, only for looking the parameters. Itīs destroyed your photon shader from the material and your fg+gi from this object is black.
deutsch:Max-Anwender! Verwende nur die Presest des Archi&Desgin Material zum betrachten der Parameter, es zerstört sonst den Photon Shader vom Material und es strahlt keine FG+GI ab.

You must be experiencing something else.
The presets work fine here?
Could you give us reproducible steps, please?

I have not experianced any of the problems you are speaking
of. I have used the arch&design mat extensively now and must
say that it a really excellent shader type. I think you must have some other problem in your scene.

Mike

oh,
i canīt say when this bug is create, but it is 100% a bug. I am work on a szene this 400 chairs. I make the shader from chairs new and take for this a preset, the color from archi&desgin is the same es befor, it is white. But when i rendern it, is the GI+FG dark. The intern photon shader from archi&design is delete. When i make the same shader without take the preset, is my GI-FG correct. I donīt no when is this bug started :(

i've used only the leather material from the preset of A&D, and with FG worked fine, but i haven't tried it with GI, so i don't know...:D

hi master zap , i have a question for you.

No, absolutely not. The arch&design material has a built in photon shader. Never use anything but that.
the render looks black when i dont put
sorry my english:confused:
That's very strange, never seen that, never heard of it until this thread. Never had a bug report.
As always, report these bugs to Autodesk. Always. Go to the bug submission page, and actually report the bugs. And most important of all we need REPRODUCIBLE STEPS or a SCENE SHOWING THE ISSUE.
If you do neither, the bugs will be weeded out before reaching me.

How? Where do you see that? Do you have a sample scene that shows the issue?
Everything works ace here.

hi masterzap
this is a simply scene i made .
the scene have 2 material arch & design , with photon basic and not photon basic this is the result.
with photon basic

masterzap what do you think about my scene??

Aloha
This took some debugging.
It has absolutely *nothing* to do with "photon basic" or not.
The error is the following:
- you have accidentally assigned the material to the light target
When this happens, the light cannot get used by the material because it considers it a circular reference (which max does not allow).
The fix: assign some other junk material to your light target, or avoid assigning material to your light target altogether in teh future ;)
Other comments on your scene:
To get correct photon intensity, stick with photometric lights. It's only with these lights the proper intensity can be guaranteed, because only these lights follow the laws of physics
In a physically correct scene, avoid changing the GI multiplier and Never change the photon decay, it's begging for trouble
Hoep this helps... ;)

jajajajajaja :D
its true always i select all the object including lights and assign the material.
the mystery is clear , i have 2 year with mental , until now i know why
thanks masterzap you are my hero :D
thanks for the tips
