View Full Version : "Disappeared" Mental Ray shaders in 3ds Max 2011

I'm having this problem. Many shaders aren't there like:
Bump, DSG Material, Dielectric, Dielectric Material, Glass, Opacity, Reflect, Refract, Transparency, Two-Sided, UV Generator, XYZ Generator.
All of these shaders are present in Max Design 2010, but not in Max Design 2011.

Any one else having this problem?

P.S.
mental ray is activated as my renderer.

Just go to ex. C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2011\mentalimages\shaders_standard\mentalray\inclu de and find
3Dsmaxshader.mi and open with Notepad.
...than press Ctrl+F to search something and type DGS, and whenever you find "hidden" just put # in front of it ex. #"hidden" and thats it, save the changes and start 3ds max
...same for other shaders to unhide
