well i m new i nthe forum i m beginner in the 3d world
i m fro mexico i m modeling a mustang i havent end the model
but i always find problems with the hdri lighting and i post here few of the "makingof" and some stills of the renders where i test soem mia materials . i use maya 2009 and rendering with mental ray using hdri from light probe īs galler from devebec
herethey are i hope u can help me i duno so sure if isa problem sith shader or lighthing i wish u can help

I think nobody's answering because the problem is not really clear...

you want to apply the hdri as image based lighting? But it's not working, correct?

So what have you done so far? Usually you have to create an ibl-node (render settings>indirect lighting>image based lighting>create) and load the hdri there. Than you have to turn final gather on and make sure, that raytracing is enabled. Don't forget to turn off default lighting as well.

Have you done this already? Car modell is looking good so far...keep it up!

It kind of looks like you have maya default lighting still on, and I think your HDR's mapping type might be incorrect, try toggling that.
