View Full Version : Render stops at 99.99% - image not saved

Hi all,

I'm rendering an image (without virtual framebuffer) with the latest backburner (DBR and no DBR). The image renders about 1.5hours, but stays at 99.99% (for over 16hours now - task timeout 600min is solved in the main time - and still going...) I've had this several times already...

Sometimes I have 100% on the max render dialog, and 99.99% in the server window, but the file is never being saved... (which is frustrating of course)

I tried all kinds of memory savings from turning of the VFB, to placeholders, bitmap pagers, MR map managers etc... but it just doesn't seem to work...

Does anyone has any idea what is causing this?

At first I thought it was one slave (a machine not a person!) that got stick somewhere in DBR but I got also got it without DBR... Any help is most welcome ;-)

hi there, i have had the dreaded 1k image file before when it fails to save at end of render, i have never had it hanging at 99%. total bugger. i dont have a fix, but i have found that if im rendering through a cmd the image will be updated in imf_disp if u leave imf_disp open while rendering u can check at end of render that u dont have 1k file and if so resave the image in imf_disp. you vould view the 99% completed image save it out and try region render that problem 1%

I render without the virtual frame buffer through a network, so not much luck with this...

Do you have a pagefile.sys in windows or do you just use RAM ( not good)
is your hardware OK.?
99.99 is the time where the computer begins to know it has to delete the temp files ...

Dont you have a last effect as glow or ...Blur somewhere?
BIg big Glare Lume did this to me
