hey nice picture ;)
here ist a test rendering from my second tutorial V2 " physcial correct atmosphere a oben room. What you can good see, is that we have no atmosphere outside from the room. Now you can simulate a camera animation from outside to inside.

Hello,
here are some more testrenders. I'm currenty working on a underwater scene. Animating displaced waves that cast volumetric caustic into murky water using the parti_volume, parti_photon shaders.

Hi!! I am MR user from Taiwan
When I found the German Mental ray forum from your post,
I was surprised to all the amazing topics that never found in
Taiwan.
But coz the language problem, I can't easily enjoy in all what you chat about..../_\
By the way...
Could u translate ur tut to English version or make some short outline of your tut u post above??
and I will find some 'translator sites' to make me able to join your forum ...^^
P.S. Sorry about my bad English...

hi pingupingu,
thanks for the comment. In the next time we have a update Forum V2. In this update can you switch from german to english layout. Ask & answer can you write in english on the forum when you whant. The user Carlos (programmer from Blendal) write only in english on the german mental ray forum. Why not... ;)
and ....
This is at this time my privat project: Sea Orbiter http://forum.german-mentalray-wiki.info/viewtopic.php?t=89&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

mentalBoy > nice volumetrics! but isnt it too time expensive? maybe some post work can do the thing?
the underwater scene that im gonna use for animation now takes 7 mins/frame in HD720 without passes. with passes it takes a few minutes more..
the cornell box was harder on the cpu. about 1 hour. but that includes Final gather and global Illumination.

Nice stuff everybody, I'll try to post some mines asap.
Hey, hot chip, what kinf of material did you apply on your chair ? is it a velvet shader ? or did you use the new mia shader ?
I like it :)
hot chip

hi tkaos,
thanks for this comment, the shader from the chair is the mia_architectual (archi&design). I have use the leather preset from the archi&design material from Max.
same presets for maya download: http://www.4shared.com/file/8212053/26d8948f/archmat.html
same presets as mi-file format for XSI or Blender, can you download here: http://forum.german-mentalray-wiki.info/viewtopic.php?t=243
(for visibility downloads on the gmrf, you must registered)

Thanks for comments. I used 2 lights area light scaled to match the window and a light behind the camera to match the window behind camera. FG only 2 bounces. This was done before the arch mats so I would like to try this again using them. Someday:D
