Who can help ?

have a look on the three tests i made.
the light produced by a spheron hdr is wonderful -
but when the MR-Shader CAR-PAINT is used the result
is a desaster...
the whole rendering is full of black dots!
i did a lot of testings around all parameters -
nothing solved this problem ...
the shader used together with "light emission"...
without one of these there are no spots-
but i need them both ....

You're on Maya 7 I guess?

That problem solved itself for me since Maya 8 (OSX)

I managed to work around it by putting the secondary samples in Light Emission to 0 I think - can't remember exactly.

basically: I think it's a bug:rolleyes:
Good Luck!

you are right - the problem doesn´t occur with maya 8...
ok - no testings at home with maya 7 ple and this shader.

Hahaha!:o

i think it will be a nice effect for a monster skin or something!!

Kidding.......

by the way, I found some of computers in my school could not render MR car paint and metallic shader(car paint is a phen 'including' metallic shader) out but all become black with Maya 8.5:( .

Does anyone have the same problem???
