hey Guys

I'm looking ofr a workflow with we used on planet51. And since I'm a bit out of the MR world... I ask you guys :)
The workflow is basicly the ability to to disable or enable GI(finalgahther or IradianceP) on a per light bases.
So for example: we have a scene with the Sun (direct light, or spot) and a couple of bounce, Rimlights etc in the scene.
and I want that only the Sun,mydirectLight will be caclulated when it comes to FG.
So like all other lights are turned of.
they Idea is just to enable on the MainLight the GI. And the rest goes Oldschool.

Of course that is possible more or less With Photons... But yeah, that doesn't work in every scene...

Any ideas? :))

Sure,

set up a seperate FG pre pass, where the sun is the only light. Render that pass with FG only to save the FG map. Switch to your multi light pass and use the FG map read only (FG freeze) from your FG pre pass. That's it.

Cheers,

Andy
