hi

the METASL Language is very good. I can use the Shader for Realtime ( Hardware Viewport Shading at 3dsmax2010) or for High End Rendering without change anything. I can convert my 3dsmax-File to the Nvidia Viewer and give the realtime Scene my Client. They can walk in the Scene and when they want the High-End Rendering, i select the camera and klick only on the "Render" Button. This is true, i can believe, but it is true *smile*

Sorry for the Advertising: for 3dsmax User is Photo Studio Final+ optimize for Hardware Viewport Shading and a tool to work with the new realtime technology.

i'm having alot of difficulties understanding these shaders as well to be honest.. i've read and keep re-reading ZAP posts and other ones, the information given and such, decoding the "hard-terminology" words, it's still 80% chinese to me.

Also I'm still not into the whole "gamma flow" issue with max 2010, they said they solved the lineair workflow thing, but for example, the "preview-render-window" is still as good as dead in this process, don't work when the flow is set to 2.2 gamma.

And still looking for a benchmarking list of graphic cards supporting mentall mill.

Christ, what a frustrating puzzle

O_o

cheers,
Ethan
