Hi,

I found that 3dsmax + mr is not able to exclude self illuminating object from FG. Like Maya does. :/

Did autodesk forgot to put this simple feature ?

Found a solution using Maya's ctrl_irradiance shader over 3dsmax mr 3.5 to control FG per object, but.... where it should be connected? If i use for example A&D material or even Mental ray connection?

Maybe you got other ways to overide FG controls per object?

you can take a raytype shader (ctrl_rays shader). in the eye slot take you "material to Shader", in this input slot your arch&desgin material. The fg ray slot is black or you can insert a other material what ever you want.

for glow the archi&design material, i put a colormix shader, with have only one color white, in the "Additional Color/Self Illiumination" slot.
