I am working on creating a realistic ocean shader for an arctic scene I am working on. I am looking to obtain similar results of (e.g. Happy feet).

I am playing around with the Ocean Lume shader in the displacement channel in MR, and for the life of me I can't get it to displace the mesh I have it attached to? I have a plane with 100x100 segments converted to a poly.

I am not sure if it matters, but I am using a stock daylight system for now with mr/sun/sky.

I am sure I am just being an idiot and missing something, but any advice or point to reference online. I have referenced the help materials, but can't seem to get anywhere. It works great in the bump channel.

Thank you

W

Make sure you have deactivated the 'Bump' option inside the shader. It sets the shader to work in bump mode only.

Hope this helps

Thank you that helped. I was deactivating the actual bump channel in the mental ray material vice inside of the Ocean(lume) shader as you mentioned.

Thank you
