Hi there, I usually use vray and scanline, and always tried to learn mentalray's complex shaders. And I hope i will get great help from this forum to come over those complex shaders of mentalray.
btw any body knows is CTRL's shaders are available for max?

you can use nearly all CRTL-Shader vor Max. When you use the Shaders, you must have the mi-File. Look on www.maxplugins.de, that have all MR-Shader plus the MI-File. Same CTRL-Shader, for example the Objekt-Light Shader, make trouble and is not 100% work.

Hi, you can find the ctrl_rays (i love this shader) in www.maxplugins.de, i dont know about others CTRL's shaders but this one is already ported to max. :)

CTRL shaders are shaders written by Francesca or Max from CTRL.Studios. There are a whole bunch of them like ctrl_rays, ctrl_geolights, ctrl_occlusion and lots more.

The only one I have ever managed to get to work 100% in Max is ctrl_rays, which is why it's the only one I have in the database at MAXPlugins.de

The tone-mapping in ctrl_buffers works OK, but I haven't had much luck getting the buffers part of the shader to work in Max.

wow~ but what is the reason everyone are starting talk alot about CTRL lately? What advantage does it excel for rendering in MR? In term of speed, quality and complication in setting control?
