View Full Version : user frame buffers

I seem to recall a discussion or an article regarding how to use these in maya, but my search is not finding anything. Has anyone used these with sucess for multipass rendering? I normally use a seperate render layer, but in a large scene, there is overhead for having to reload the geometry for every pass, so I want to try user buffers

there is a famous thread on cgtalk.com related to ctrl.buffers output shader ...i guess you can find usefull info about user frame buffers there ...
