hi, ok, here is the thing, like a lot of you, im a mental ray adict, im a mental ray lover, i definitelly want to learn everything about MR, and how to use it to get hiper realistic scenes with MR in every situation.

ive learned a lot, but i want to learn even more...

i feel like at some point in the MR learing, it becomes hard to find new learning sources..

so basically im begging to the Mental ray gurus (like master zap for example) for more tutorials, or why not, a book... (yes i think they should write a book about MR)

im suggesting those gurus, to write more tutorials for the comunity, and why not, a complete mental ray book...

:D

pd. im an advanced web designer, i could exchange my knowledge in web design by mental ray knowledge...

:D:D

Well there's more video tutorials coming and more resources being worked on.

There's also the book written by Andy which is a great resource and you can take the classes provided by the lamrug.

Zap and I have talked about extra nice things but haven't gotten into the details since Siggraph week. Anyway, there will be surprises coming your way so stay tuned on mymentalray.com

That is correct as we have prove many times before, we never stop bringing more knowledge to mymr, also a good idea for learning mental ray is to branch out your learning techniques, don't expect everything to be in the tutorial form and be about lighting, we don't have 100s of materials but the one we do have are very advance you can download a few and study them.
Also look into the math and shading writing stuff, read it and understand the science behind, why and how things really happen at the core level, don't just assume or speculate ,all the information is there.

Look into the video, tools and shader sections don't limited your self to only one part of the site and expect that small section to be updated daily.maybe go a bit out your own software and look into max, as you can see the artist who knows a lot about mr jump between softwares categories knowing before hand that they only use one them but there knowledge can be share across multiple softwares because at the end of the day is all mental ray.

And last but not least contribute and be active that is the best way to learn.

My 2 cents. :D
