View Full Version : Volumetric MR Shader?

Im wondering, do you guys thing its feasible to create a shader that does volumetric effects like clouds etc when applied to geometry. Like, you could take a sphere and apply a shader to it and it would look realistically like clouds/smoke inside the sphere.

does anyone have a tutorial for using parti-volume to acheive the same effect that pixeltale showed us? Perhaps just a .max file that has the same kind of cloud.

at this time you can only use the Binary Shader Collection - Essential Mental Ray shaders, not the Volumen collection. :(

perhaps, the demo File "Volumen Text" from Jeff Patton. This Demo use the parti-volumen shader, but not cloud. So you can test und play this shader. ;)
