Hi,
is there anybody out there who has experience with the ctrl_buffer shader from francesca luca in 3ds max 9?
what i need is the possibility to render out these passes:
- diffuse
- shadow
- ambient occlusion
- reflection
- refraction
- ...
in one process. ctrl_buffer does it in maya and xsi. but how to set it up in 3ds max 9.
a small sample scene would be great :rolleyes:

I am trying to figure this out as well.
I tried setting it up similar to the p_MegaTK, with placing a mrShader dummy in the scene, but to no avail.
Also, the interface is a bit confusing.
Does anyone know the basic set up?

Also on the CGTalk forums, gulio posted a Max scene file which has the basic way to set it up.

It will at least write out the different pass images, although they are "empty"
The interface for the Max version is *REALLY* lacking compared to the Maya and XSI versions.
When I have time I am going to try and compare with screenshots found in the Maya and XSI forums at CGTalk.

Hey guys~ i'm using max 8 and has been wondering if francesca's Ctrl_shaders work for max 8 and how can i get it into use in max 8?:confused:
