View Full Version : ctrl object lights shader for 3dsmax, how?

with version older i add self-illumination to a standart material or add a glow lume but know that does not work or im missing something.FG is on btw.
how can we make a object light shader for 3dsmax9?

Check the info in this thread in the rendering forum here.

(unless I've misunderstood you're question, I thought you were asking about the ctrl_geolight shader).

Just to make something glow, the process is the same as in all the previous versions. Glow shader or output map + glare works well.

thanks jeff...now im checking threads but i tried your steps on cgtalk for ctrl_geoshader.i copied everything to the right directories but max couldn't load the dlo.
do i have to add some code to the plugins.ini ?

Make sure you're using the correct build for your particular version of 3dsmax. It sounds like you're using the wrong version if it won't load.
